“El Caminante” as a fictional character

He’s been a traditional blusa and a basketball player, he’s been a medieval commoner, he’s been a beauty queen… and most of the time he is naked.

I’m sure that by now all inhabitants of Vitoria-Gasteiz have watched the outstanding and really simple production carried out by Eroski as a marketing strategy: in short, bringing to life the most characteristic sculpture of this city and take it shopping around the Old Quarter.

What I find most interesting is the actual creation of a fictional character out of the bronze original. Think of it, He is not famous for what he has achieved or his story, he is first famous and afterwards he gets a story.

How many possibilities, how many plots can you come up with, involving el Caminante?

I especially enjoyed the flash fiction “El transeunte” written by Galilius at the blog La Pulga Curiosa.
